The Saddlers collected another point away from home, in a second successive goalless draw within six days, this time away at Yeovil Town.

A win would have taken Dean Smith's men level on points with our Huish Park hosts and in what was an uneventful 90 minutes, The Saddlers will feel slightly irritated they didn't get all three points after creating the better of the chances.

Over 500 Saddlers made the journey to Somerset as they witnessed Walsall come out the brightest in the early stages.

Febian Brandy saw his powerful right-footed drive saved by the stretching Marek Stetch in the Yeovil goal, in what was the best chance of the first half.

Yeovil slowly started to edge into the game and had their best chance on 25-minutes when James Hayter burst into the penalty area, but his low cross couldn't find an unmarked Paddy Madden as defender Paul Downing cleared.

The Saddlers threatened once more late on in the first half, Jamie Paterson found an opening, curling a well-struck shot narrowly off target, causing Stetch no real problem.

The second half began as the first did, with Walsall dominating possession in a more entertaining period.
On several occasions The Saddlers delivered dangerous crosses into the Yeovil box, unfortunately no red shirt was on turn to get an effort in on goal.

The Saddlers did come agonisingly close via an Andy Taylor corner. The left backs in-swinging corner was delivered to the far post with Craig Westcarr's header hitting the foot of the woodwork.

Yeovil had a penalty shout when Madden went down under Downing's challenge, but Town protests were waved away by referee Tim Robinson.

Andy Taylor then made a terrific diving challenge to deny Madden a certain opener for the hosts inside the penalty area, with Angelo Balanta sending his mis-hit into the stand behind.

Both sides continued to press  as top scorer, Will Grigg, had a snap shot brilliantly tipped over by Stetch.
Apart from that effort, there wasn't much more for the travelling support to cheer about as Sam Mantom blazed over from the edge of the area and The Saddlers had to settle for a point.

In a game deemed as a 'massive decider' for The Saddlers play-off push, Walsall failed to capitalize on their chances and sneak what would have been a thrilling three points.

Nonetheless, a point away at a tough promotion rival will still give Walsall plenty of confidence as we remain 11 games unbeaten ahead of the Midlands derby with Coventry City on Easter Monday.

The Saddlers still sit in 8th place, 3 behind Yeovil and 4 behind 6th placed Tranmere Rovers.
