Walsall Football Club are set to open contract discussions with star striker Will Grigg.
The Northern Ireland international has notched 14 goals for the Saddlers this season and has been instrumental in the clubs recent return to form.
Manager Dean Smith told the Express & Star "We’re in talks and I've said to Will before I believe the best place for him is Walsall. Whatever he does this season, come the end of it, I feel he needs another season improving and developing and then he may be able to go and play higher."
Walsall recently secured the futures of defenders Malvind Benning, Andy Taylor and Paul Downing and are also keen to tie down several other talents including Febian Brandy, and club captain Andy Butler.
