Walsall Football Club have signed West Bromwich Albion midfielder Sam Mantom on a permanent transfer following his release by the Baggies.
The 20-year-old Stourbridge born midfielder came through he ranks at The Hawthorns and penned a professional contract with The Baggies in 2010, and has spent much of the last three years on loan to clubs such as Tranmere Rovers and Oldham Athletic and of course, Walsall.
Mantom originally joined The Saddlers in March 2012 on a short term loan and returned in November 2012 for another short term deal, he's made just over twenty appearances for The Saddlers and scored four goals.
He has penned an 18-month-contract.
