Tonight rumours are circulating that Walsall Football Club have released record appearance holder Jimmy Walker from his Player/Coach contract, just five months into the deal.
'Wacka' returned to The Banks's Stadium in 2010 following six years elsewhere, he then went on to break Colin Harrison's all time appearance record in January 2012.
At the beginning of this season Jimmy agreed to a new one year player/coach deal following a summer of negotiations, but after only a few months it seems both sides have agreed to part ways.
There are several apparent reasons for his departure, including a so called 'bust up' with manager Dean Smith, we are also led to believe Jimmy has opted to take up the role of Goalkeeping Coach at Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
The club have simply stated there is 'nothing to report'.
More as we get it...
