Walsall have handed a trial to former Sheffield Wednesday and Shrewsbury Town midfielder Sean McAllister.
25-year-old McAllister began his career with Bolton Wanderers but joined the Sheffield Wednesday academy in 2003, signing pro terms in 2006.
During his seven years at Hillsborough Sean made over sixty first team appearances for The Owls, and spent time on loan at Mansfield Town and Bury.
Following his release in July 2010 he joined Shrewsbury Town in, he made 35 league appearances during an injury hit two years at Greenhous Meadow (New Meadow) and was released at the end of last season.
McAllister played in Wednesday night's Birmingham Senior Cup First Round victory over Tipton Town, and is set to continue to train with the squad over the coming days.
