Walsall Supporters' Trust and Walsall Football Club are delighted to announce a joint evening celebration of the career of record breaking appearance maker James Walker, at the Notts County game at the Banks's Stadium on Tuesday 31st January.
Amongst a host of celebratory events planned by the Club, The Supporters Trust have produced a special framed shirt with 'Walker 530' on the back to present to Jimmy in recognition of his services to Walsall Football Club. This will also be presented to him by the man whose record he beats, another Saddlers Legend Colin Harrison in the Bonser Suite after the game.
The Trust have also invited the top 5 Walsall FC appearance makers of all time to attend the game, Colin Harrison, Nick Atthey and Kenny Mower have all accepted the Trust's invitation to attend, relatives of the late, great Colin Taylor, have agreed to represent him and make up the four of the top 5 appearance makers on the night, unfortunately Alan Buckley is unavailable to attend.
The Trust have also ordered a number of Jimmy Walker masks which will be on sale from Trust Board Members outside the ground prior to kick off at £1 each, as we try to make the evening a celebration that all fans can take part in.
It would be a great sight to see Jimmy in goal surrounded by Saddlers fans all wearing Jimmy Masks, and an easy way for we the supporters to be a part of a fun tribute to Super Jim.
