Mat Sadler Reacts as Walsall Slip to Narrow Defeat

Here's how the gaffer saw the Saddlers' League Two meeting with Swindon Town.
Walsall boss Mat Sadler has called upon his side to make more of their time on top as they suffered just their first home league defeat since their 6=2 loss to Fleetwood Town on 1st October.

Joel Cotterill's goal just before the match reached the hour mark proved to be enough to see the visitors home to victory, with the Saddlers seeing their lead at the top cut to just four points.

Speaking to Express & Star reporter George Bennett, Sadler said: "It was a tough game.

"They set up in the way that they wanted to do things, they left the one up front and dropped the rest of the team in while we were trying to build.

"And I don't think, if we're being honest with ourselves today, we didn't have that way about us to break that down.

"Ironically, I thought their goal comes when we're on top in the game and starting to find some of the places we like to pick the ball up in.

"Once that goes in, it was just one of those games. I don't think either team were hugely on top in the game, but their moments, they took and maybe some of our little half ones, we didn't."
